My research on the influence of German Expressionism on Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie will be presented at the 2013 BCUR Conference

BCUR (British Conference of Undergraduate Research) is an annual conference in which undergraduates across the UK meet up at a designated university and present their research on a chosen topic.

I had to choose a topic that I have researched at Undergraduate level, and so I chose to focus on the impact of German Expressionism on contemporary film (my dissertation explores this at a much broader level), and apply this to the case study of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie.

My proposal has been accepted to present in the form of a poster presentation displaying my research. This is a brilliant opportunity for me to be involved with and will provide me with experience at an academic conference.

I will write a post summarising my experience of the conference once I have attended in April.
